I'm Sharla
Involved in photography for over 45 years, I won my first camera in a reading contest in first grade. I've always enjoyed photographing sports, landscapes and wildlife but I also enjoy shooting occasional family events, portraits and weddings. Past president for a local camera club, I've served as a judge for both print and digital competitions. You can occasionally find me on the other end of the competition entry form and I've been especially honored to win Best In Show B&W in one of the nation's largest print photography salons.
Dogs and agility came into my life in the late 90s and they've been my total addiction since. I'm owned by two Pembroke Welsh Corgis and two Cardigan Welsh Corgis. Sadly I lost my <3 girl AKC AGCh "Annie" in the fall of 2023.
Professionally I'm a animal/lab scientist by education, I later returned to college to study medical imaging and then photography. I've studied with highly regarded dog portrait and sports photographers, taken many nature and wildlife workshops and created content for photographic educational programs.
